It is ideally positioned for cycling and walking in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with the Long Distance Cycle Route 68 passing within half a mile. The Lake District National Park and Trough of Bowland AONB are less than an hour away by car, while a trip on the nearby Settle to Carlisle Railway line will take you to Leeds or Carlisle.

Our aim is to have as low an impact on the environment as possible (read more about Lower Barn) It is an ideal place to stay for those wishing to arrive by bike or foot, as we take bookings on a nightly basis, but an equally warm welcome is extended to those arriving by car.
